Backyard Photos

Here are some photos of our new backyard. Where you see the lighter color gravel, is a work in progress. We will be extending the patio with brick pavers.

Blake moes the lawn for the first time. :) We actually had so much rain this week that it needs to be cut again (3 days later).

Daddy teaching Logan how to putt.

Guess who dressed me today?!

Fell fast asleep while playing. Trying to stay awake to see daddy come home from being out of town.

Daddy and Logan take a quick snooze on our friend's hammock.

What We've Been Up To

We have some very exciting news to report to our family and friends. This past week at Logan's doctor appointment they did an echo cardiogram to look at the hole in his heart. From what they could see they believe that the hole is starting to get a little smaller! So they decide to put off surgery for now. This was such a blessing to hear. We'd been trying to prepare our hearts and minds for surgery in September. But now we can rest and continue to enjoy Logan more and more everyday. He is growing well and so far the hole is not impeding him in any way. So thank you for all your thoughts and prayers-- we know this is the work of God.

I almost don't even need Daddy's help anymore.

Mommy caught me trying to escape from my bouncy chair.

Want to see my new trick?

Here I go.... weeeeee!

That was pretty cool, huh? I just learned how to do that by myself this week!

Whoa! I got stuck when I tried to roll on my play gym.

Blake's parents came to visit the first week of July. They drove out the mini van that his grandmother graciously gave to us. We had a really nice time while they were here. Logan turned 3 months old that week.

My AZ Grandma Lark gave me this cool new hat.

Trying out my new Bumbo seat.

Not too sure about this yet.

Daddy spiked my hair after my bath. :)

Do you think I can get my whole fist in my mouth?

"What big eyes you have!"

Preppy Boy

I figured out I can hold things in my hands.

I really like this book!

Logan's 1st Trip to IL

The airplane ride... well the day we left for IL, Logan had his 2mo. shots. Not very good planning by mom. He was pretty fussy in the airport while we waited to board. I know I shouldn't have been embarassed, but it was hard not to be. It felt like everyone was starring at us and thinking to themselves- make sure we don't sit by them or why can't they get that baby to stop crying. Well, maybe they had more sympathetic thoughts but I'll never know. We were very relieved when we boarded the flight because of two things...1. The flight attendant told us the flight was not full and we could have an extra free seat for Logan's car seat. (Made a huge difference) and 2. As soon as we stepped onto the plane Logan was as calm as could be and fell into a nice peaceful sleep. (Whew!)
The flight back home (which is pictured above) was much more peaceful. Logan was very at ease in the airport and probably slept as hard as I've ever seen him on the flight home to AZ.
Had to sport the Cardinal gear when we were there.

Logan met Great Grandma Kearney

Logan met Great Grandma Harkins.

Big yawn... all this traveling makes me sleepy!

Uncle Tyler and Aunt Karrie were very fun to be around.

All the Kearney boys.

We went out to the "Country" where my mom and StepDad Dennis are building a house. Dennis took some really great pictures of us.

First stop... my cousin Josh's wedding.

Aunt Stephanie and cousin Bryce lovin' on me. Steph's baby is due the end of July so this was great practice for her.

Mommy and me working on a burp.

I'm all partied out!

This past week we were in IL visiting our families. We had a really nice time. It was very special to watch our family love on Logan. It was a short and jam packed trip, by the end we were all very exhausted; but we enjoyed every minute of it. Logan was quite the trooper, he adjusted so well to every new place we took him and allowed a lot of strangers (to him at least) to hold and cuddle with him.
